I shout and scream,
And cry and weep,
And moan and yell,
Out on the streets.
Can't you hear it,
My silent howls,
My muffled shrieks,
The sound is foul.
You laugh and talk,
But can't hear my woe,
Everywhere, anywhere,
I holler so.
I walk on the street,
Shed a silent tear,
Not one of you asks me what is wrong,
You just continue to laugh and cheer.
So as I walk by,
With a despairing soul,
I feel uncoiled, unloved, unheated.
So as I walk by,
You can't feel my heart,
My new heart of stone,
For you can't know,
How I am unheard.
