I open my book. Breathe in its scent of new paper, and sigh. This is the first new book I've had, apart from schoolbooks, but they hardly count.
I think this is the first time I've ever walked into a bookshop. I mean, I've read books and all, but I'd normally tell my mum to get me books from the library.
I click on to Microsoft Word, search down the long lists of discarded books that stretches back for years, since I was 6 years old and had begun to write.
