I walked out into the yard after school, to see my dog. She happily played whilst I threw the ball. I heard a noise. Me and Lucy, my dog ran inside. Hiding under my bed, Lucy cried. I opened the window and watched outside as the sky darkened. The sun was concealed by the clouds and I didn't know what was happening.
The next five minutes went so quickly. The next thing I knew, the floor was shaking rapidly under my feet. My parents grasped my arm but I waited for Lucy. I picked her up and ran for my life.
Shrieking filled the streets. Nobody knew what had happened until they realised. It was an earthquake. Then the world split open. A large hole divided the street in two. I stood and watched in horror. My house was starting to fall. all my belongings were destroyed. Lucy tried to run inside but I held her tightly.
We stayed with our neighbours for the next hour of my life. My family and I sat there, petrified. Every lamppost was knocked down. The telephones stopped working and my street was stranded up away in the hills.
Some television crews came and investigated the damage. As soon as we went to greet them they disappeared with pictures to show the rest of the world. Only some towns across the world were aware of the earthquake. Others had no idea.
However, in the next few days, the news spread. The whole world found us survivors and we were taken into better conditions. This is the first time I've told my story. Thank you.
Yeah I made all this up it never happened
