Identity-Eyes Grow Green

Designed to fight fear
She strides with pride
Once only under
the pale moonlight

Her head held high
Nothing will stop her
In this brutal life
And not only beneath
The star covered sky

Her eyes now swim
With a cold laughter
Blocking the gloom
That they've seen
Escaping the darkness
But at what cost
While waking the dormant happiness
She's no longer their victim

She only hurts herself

Power is her new identity
She's brave and strong
But powerless to the self
She once only saw
in the pale moon rays

Once her pain
Now her strength
But is it worth it?

Or will her eyes grow green?

Latrodectus

@Latrodectus

Hi, I'm Latrodectus, but you can call me Lat. I'm 14 and I love to write. I write at least 1 or 2 times a week and write everything from acrostics to opinion posts (and everything in-between) I'm also writing my first ever book/full story "The Darkworld Chronicles." I write to help find myself and who I really am and to help me deal with life's problems and stresses. I like drawing, acting, singing and gymnastics but don't like algebra, sport or swimming. My interests vary wildly (as do my works) and I feel it gives me some variety. Thanks for reading this, have fun in my world of writing :) ~Lat

Choice

Softly, softly, heart be still. Be calm and listen, if you will. Gently, gently, all is right. Shield me from tempestuous night. Darkly, darkly, hear sirens cry. To burn my wings they can but try.

Fighting Shadows

Shadows passing over walls. They dance just like the nightmares did. I hide under my blankets, Scared of the darkness like a little kid. Maybe that's ok If I'm not as brave as some.

Bring Me Down.

Sometimes I feel broken, I feel beaten up, I'm down. Everything I say is wrong, It's dark, it's grey, I'll frown. Foot in my mouth, Face in the mud, I'll cry. I'll cry. You'll smile.
