If I could paint a masterpiece
I'd paint a world that echoed peace
Upon the wind and across the land
Inside the heart of every man, woman and child.
I'd paint the sky the clearest blue
Where rainbows and wishes all come true
With fluffy clouds that gather dreams
Within their silver lined seams.
I'd dip my brush in paint so pure
To paint a land that feels secure.
There would be golden daffodils
Atop the rolling amber hills
Where shadows of their unity
Can somehow set the captive free.
A splash of paint upon the page..
Who dared to give the world release
By painting words that offered peace
If I could draw myself a life
It would be one without a knife
A world without violence
A world without pain
A world where all you have to do is explain.
