Bitter as fresh lemon,
Icy water after mint,
With a tablespoon of table salt,
I'm bitter, get the hint?
I will thread your tongue with wires,
And electrify your voice,
I will bludgeon out your every word,
Of that, you have no choice.
I am bitter as a gale,
In the middle of a storm,
Snow and sleet, frost, rain and hail,
I will shatter you with scorn.
Every glare will bring an ice age,
To that cage around your heart,
And your canvas will fall victim,
To my condescending art.
I can burn you with a handshake,
Stare you down to Timbuktu,
Every silence will degrade,
My mercy, slowly draining you.
Fool, think fast, think on your head,
You're nothing but a little critter,
When confronted with the power,
That amounts when I am bitter.
