My Little World

I sit up and stare. All the scenery around me has changed. I am a small thing sat in the middle of lonely fields. The lush rolling hills surrounding the area go on for as far as I can see. Struggling to my feet, I take a few steps forewords. The long, parched grass tickles my feet as I slowly drag them along behind me. The air is humid and sticky, but I can just about bear the stifling heat.

An hour later, or maybe no time at all, I feel although I have traveled miles yet I have hardly moved. Where was I? Would I ever get back to my familiar home, and the sweet scents of blooming flowers in my front garden? I didn't like where this was going. It was as if I was trapped in my own nightmare, unable to ever get out.
