The Glance

I look up at the same time as you
For one precious second we share a glance
Our eyes connect across the room
Is this to be, or was it just chance?

Your eyes are green, with specks of gold
Mine are brown, dark as mud
In that moment it felt as though
Our veins were joined; connected by blood

Just one glance was all it took
Electric static sparkles around
I walk to you, slow step by step
You walk to me without a sound

The crowd it parts, they dance for us
Our silent mime; at last we meet
I break the stare, you clasp your hands
I look down at my twitching feet

The crowd, they hum, the people jumble
I look to you; a nervous smile
You take my hand, we start to walk
Together, on an endless mile.

Beautiful so vivid 😊 but why the copyright doo-dad?

Excellent-especially 'our silent mime' line😌😘

@Delilah a couple of others have started using it. It's an extra layer of protection according to the law against people copying your work.
