If you tell someone to do something, knowing that they will not do it, you can use reverse psychology. This is when, in these situations, you ask the person to do the opposite of what you want them to do, in hope that they will do what you want. Have you every been susceptible to it? Parents often use it with their children, and let their children think that they did what the parent didn't want them to. However, this can have a negative effect, as the children may grow up believing that it is fine to disobey. What are your thoughts on this?

A light inception method (making them think the desired action is actually their idea) is a better way, but it can be tedious & not always work... Reverse psychology is definately the quickest & easiest way to control anyone with authority issues!
Yea, especially if they find out! To use such techniques on an adult though, you would have to be in a position where a civil "can you please do this?" is insufficient, which would mean there could already be issues there. Or you might just like controlling people!
