Happiness Shields

I hate it when you do this
You made me frown
You took my smile of a day
And turned it upside down

You changed my views
Of the rest of the day
And made me cry
What a big display

But my splotchy eyes
And red, runny nose
Are nothing compared
To the enemy you chose

I will continue to defend
What is true and right
And fight your negativity
With all my might

My happiness shields
Shall still always defend
Against all great odds
Until the very end

So please don't try again
To make me sad
