Under the covers with my little flashlight.
Read until the batteries die.

Shiver until the morning comes.

Hope that the monsters vanish soon.

Hoping my family will be alright.
Pray that my parents will survive the storm.

Holding the age and the darkness away.
Fight to maintain my grip on life.

I'm going to go to bed early tonight.
My strength has fled and my bones are old.
Let it go and finally sleep.
