Hi everyone, I just wanted to post something to say that I will no longer be posting poems regularly to Opuss. I am concentrating on publishing a poem book, and I want to get that perfect.
Spinning on and on, In the wind, Providing shelter, To those within. A body of bricks, And arms of wood, Stand tall with pride, As they should.
300 pages, Of tasty meals, Ingredient lists, And equipment reels. An Italian section, Full of lush cuisine, Pastas and pizzas, Vegetables and beans.
There's nothing like a nice warm bath, Steaming up the windows, Bath bombs fizzing in the water, Perfumed bubbles tickling my toes.
Soaring across the sapphire sky, A great big neon rollercoaster ride. Streaks of fluorescent emerald green, Miles and miles away, it can be seen.
Perfectly moulded, To fit your heart, One small key, Keeping us apart. When will you find it. How long will it be. Until you unlock my loneliness, Joining you and me.
The sweetest indulgence, Smothered in delight, On the table, A heavenly sight. Sprinkles on top, Crunchy yet sweet, That wonderful sensation, When they melt on your teeth.
A furry blanket, Smothered in spots, Hidden in the bushes, His mission, he plots. The most beautiful eyes, A deep olive green, And the richest of coats, You've ever seen.
I wake up in the morning, Feet freezing cold, Dash down the stairs, To see what the weatherman has foretold.
A black silhouette, Rising tall, Pinching the horizon, With a dazzling drool. Sparks of light, Shoot down like rockets, Landing on the ground, The emerald grass-alit.
Clickety click, The keys are pressed, Clickety click, The paper is dressed.
Milky indulgence, In a glass, Little strawberries on top, Key to love, at last. Slimy berries, Hidden under the pinkness, All beautifully crimson, Kings of loveliness. Everyone loves a milkshake.
A trickling ribbon, Of liquidised silk, Rippling softly- A sapphire milk. Upon the surface, Sunlight gems dance, Golden sunshine spills, Whilst the sparkles enhance.
Shooting stars, bottled up, In a small plastic case, Tiny specs of imagination, Dotted in a lattice lace.
Little ladybird, red with spots, Alone. Hidden in the crease of a leaf, Dancing around, fluttering wings, Yielding a spotted black wreath.
An eternal twister, In the corner of the room, Winding around, You'll reach the top soon. Smothered in shadows, From the morning sun, Embellished with spotlights, Trodden on by everyone.
Snoring, At the edge of the room, Churning, It will warm up soon, Hissing, Is that actually normal. Fizzing, Come on, surely that's all?. Shaking, Hang in there mate, Burping, Couldn't that wait.
A tangled mess, Of bright green wire, In my pocket- A fluorescent fire. Tied in knots, A wired cobweb, Ever so tight, A huge fixed net.
A deadly assassin, Sweeping across the sky, A streak of cobalt, Starts to intensify. The blackest of blacks, Enveloping all life, Tearing the sky, With the sharpest of knives.
A vibrant rainbow, Broken up on a plate, Splodges of life, Oh so great. Ruby reds and, Brilliant emerald greens, The most wonderful spectrum, For all to see.
#OutOfTheBlue Rising from blades of grass, A dense blanket of jade, Stands a mosaic bird bath, The place for birds to play.
#OutOfTheBlue Unlimited power, To turn up the volume, Change the channel, Or alter the zoom. Smothered in buttons, Red, green and blue, Sliding switches, Ready to be used.
#OutOfTheBlue Separate the cake cases, Put them in the tray, Grease them if you want to, Or just leave them plain.
My new challenge #OutOfTheBlue starts today. Want to join in. Flick trough my recent opusses, and you'll find a whole post about it. Enjoy. #OutOfTheBlue Where does your mind go, When you fall...
#adventchallenge It's time to turn over the paper, To have a fresh start, My resolution. To live. Love. Laugh. To celebrate the end, Of this fantastic year, It's time to party.
#adventchallenge Eat more veg. Spend lots less. Take up a sport. Spread more happiness. Tidy your room. Work harder at school. Put in more effort. Act less like a fool. Less ready meals.
Hey guys. So, my New Years resolution is to dedicate more of my time to Opuss. Consequently, I thought that it would be interesting to create my own challenge.
#adventchallenge Can you feel him. Nibbling at your toes, Ready to freeze your soul, Casting red upon your nose.
#adventchallenge Everyone has an angel, Their guardian of life, There to protect them, And help them to survive.
#adventchallenge Along time ago, Toys were hand-crafted, Out of wood and springs, Not made by the faint-hearted.
#adventchallenge Christmas Day was yesterday, The day went by so quickly, And now cluttering the fridge, Are leftovers of the turkey.
Merry Christmas to you all.
#adventchallenge 'Twas the night before Christmas, The children were tucked up in bed, Their iPods turned off, So they could rest their sleepy heads.
#adventchallenge Mr. Claus, A jolly big fellow, A beard of white, His heart-so mellow. Wears a red coat, The blackest of boots, A buckled belt, Happiness he salutes.
#adventchallenge Reindeer are the perfect team- Able to pull a sleigh across the sky, Legs galloping, eyes wide open, Following the path of stars up high.
#adventchallenge Winter's in the air, Ice carpets the ground, Rooftops are frosted, Snowflakes fall without a sound.
#adventchallenge Take a turkey, Stuff it to the brim, With onions and herbs, Else, it's nothing. Whack it in the oven, Leave it to bake, Don't serve it raw, For goodness sake.
#adventchallenge You are a star in the sky, Dear friend of mine. I gaze upwards-see you shining, I never heard you whining. Been through a lot-my friend, I was by your side till the end.
* So, I was stuck for ideas on this day of the advent challenge, so I decided to make a mash-up of famous christmas songs, enjoy!* #adventchallenge Oh, the weather outside is frightful, Sleigh bells...
#adventchallenge Sleeping above the fireplace, Waiting to be filled, Anxious to see what Santa's bought, Soon, happiness will be spilled. Tickled by the heat of flames, Amber. Rose.
#adventchallenge Intricate snowflakes, Floating to the ground, Silently communicating, Yet, without a sound. A blessing from above, No two the same, Each and everyone-unique, But deprived of a name.
#adventchallenge Glinting baubles, Sparkling stars, Twinkling icicles, Shining sunlight bars. Artificial snow, Dainty fairy lights, Shielding presents, Wrapped up tight.
#adventchallenge A delicate concoction, Of sparkling sound, Intricately composed To elegantly pound. Spilling calmly, From silvery bells, Or are they stars. No one can tell.
#adventchallenge. S for selfishness-it's all about him,. C for childhood-his past is nothing,. R for a 'riddle' from ear to ear,. O for oblivious to Christmas cheer,. O once more for a gaping hole,.
#adventchallenge Sitting under the mistletoe, Hand in hand, Surrounded by snow. I feel your heartbeat sounding, Slow yet firm, Emotions pounding.
#adventchallenge Standing outside, Shivering in the cold, Sits a snowman, Strong and bold. A black hat upon his head, Gloves drape from his arms, Three red buttons, Everyone, he charms.
#adventchallenge Mr. Christmas Tree, standing Tall, rising from the Ground, above the heads Of all.
#adventchallenge Shards of icy, crystalline teeth, Biting down, in a reflective wreath. Kaleidoscopic strands of blood, Stained colourless in the icy flood.
#adventchallenge I've run out of wrapping paper, So I head to the shops, Walk towards the Christmas section, To see what they've stocked.
#adventchallenge In a snowy stable, Overseas, There's a nativity, And lots to see. There's Mary and Joseph, Hand in hand, Listening to, The animal band.
#adventchallenge A spiked lattice of emerald green, Dotted elegantly across the scene. Embellished with juicy, crimson gems, Sprouting from a prickled stem.
#adventchallenge Warming capsules, Of raisins and sauce Dusted with sugar, And syrup of course. Wrapped up neatly, In pastry cases, Encrusted with delight, With little iced faces.
#adventchallenge Plump baby robin, Sitting on the branch, Bobbing around, Feathers all blanched. A chest of crimson, A back of chestnut brown, An innocent little face, Wearing a frosty crown.
#adventchallenge Okay, so I'm going to come clean, I didn't buy you a gift this year, Everything seemed so tacky, But there's something I want you to hear...
#adventchallenge Dear Santa Claus, I've been really good this year, I absolutely promise, I'm definitely a good girl, So here is my christmas list.
#adventchallenge God's frozen tears, Falling from the sky, Dancing to the ground, Where in a white blanket they lie.
Ooo, the tension. As I slip my nail under the cardboard flap, I swipe my finger across the dotted line, And then, the delicate door I unwrap.
Look at us, hand in hand, Walking in the rain, It's cold-the water a freezing glacier, But when I'm with you, I feel no pain.
It's complicated. Very complicated. You wouldn't understand, How it is to stand here, Not knowing where I stand.
Two peas in a pod, Emerald and perfectly shaped, Plump, green specs of romance, Dressed in turquoise capes.
It's less than a month 'till Christmas, I can almost hear the sleigh bells ringing, Been to the shops to buy my advent calendar, Chocolates hidden behind doors-so tempting.
Roses are red, Violets are blue, Why can't they think of, Something new. I'm tired of hearing, The same old lines, What we need, Is a new design.
Happy birthday Opuss. You're one year old today, It's the 25th of November, Time to celebrate. Lets prepare the barbecue, Why don't you grab a plate.
Hiding away, Back against the wall, Corner of the room, Ready to fall. Your darkening shadow, Streaks across my face, I shrink to my feet, Heart starting to race.
Yay. I made it to, Rank thirty-eight. I'm in the thirties, Time to celebrate. My goal all along, Was to make two digits, And now I'm in the thirties, I'm ecstatic.
Walking here, Caped in moonlight dust, Hand in hand, Can you feel the love. Dazzling diamonds, Dancing upon the lake, Forget about time, Our love will keep us awake.
Can you see these tears, Rolling down by cheeks. All a result, Of our love turning bleak. The day you left me, My heart was torn, My dazing conscience, Stabbed by a thorn.
You were a thief, That's what you were, You stole my heart, You were a saboteur. You snuck into my life, Made me fall for you, Your plan clearly worked- I didn't have a clue.
You were meant to be mine, I had you first, Long before her, Our lips had pursed. We were together for months, You and me, We were the perfect couple, Anyone could see.
Those three words, I've been longing to hear, Since I met you, Keeping me near. Those three words, That would make my day, Just three words, Such a wonderful array.
I'm sitting here, my mind on you, Staring aimlessly at a blank wall, Thinking of how you tore my heart, And carelessly watched me fall.
Dainty raindrops dancing down, Minuscule diamonds of water, Twirling and swirling through the air, Dusted with specs of colour.
Majestic bundles of marshmallow fluff, Scattered delicately across the sky, Rippling upon a light blue blanket, As their vast numbers multiply.
A beautiful smear of colour, Streaming across the sky, Against a dark grey canvas, The bleakness seemingly dies.
There are some things in life, That really get on my nerves, Just little, minuscule things, They drive me absurd. I really hate it when, I'm sharpening my pencil, I get it perfect, And snap.
A malicious battlefield where all will die, Flimsy boats treated like slaves, A dangerous game of dodgems, In, a rushing wall of water caves.
Vibrant crimson heads, Hidden amongst the grass, Shielded from the wind, Waiting for the storm to pass.
Boredom is grey and a beckoning force, It robs your thoughts as it triumphantly roars. Love is pink and a mellow blanket of dreams, Embedded with affection with a thread of joy for the seam.
I open up the cobwebbed door, As a hurl of cold wind attacks my face, I step outside onto the squelching doormat, And set my eyes upon this 'November place'.
Vivid orange autumnal leaves, Breaking free from their parental branch, Catching the fragmented crystalline sunlight, Tumbling down-a leafy avalanche.
Opportunities for People to Upload Stories for Sharing.
Soaring capsules of luminous light, Flying high into the gloomy night, Bursting to release vibrance and fun, And beautiful colours as bright as the sun.
@LittleKitten I rest my head down on the mattress All my thoughts and worries I dismiss, I close my eyes, relax my mind, Leaving my dozing conscience behind.
An Opuss a day, keeps the boredom away....
The little girl sits on the swing, With which the wind plays, As she stares into the horizon, Caped in a murky haze.
In the corridor,. Clutching calculator,. Students nattering,. Knees chattering,. Nail biting,. Nerves igniting,. Phones sleeping,. Fears leaping,. Rushed revising,. Anxiety rising,. Bell ringing,.

There's nothing like a nice warm bath, Steaming up the windows, Bath bombs fizzing in the water, Perfumed bubbles tickling my toes.
