Poltergeist

This is a true story; this was my own experiences
This happened just over 10 years ago

When I was young, (It was the first few years of my life, I think until I was about three or four) me and my Mum lived in a little house in Russell Street (such a cool name for a street, considering that it's in Gosport).

Anyway, in this house, there lived a poltergeist. Now, I don't know why it was there; or whether or not it was there when my Mum moved in.

We had this pet rat. It was a rat that had been rescued from a lab that tested products on animals. During the day, he lived in a really big cage, but at night my Mum put him into a slightly smaller cage.

I can't recollect seeing any poltergeist activity during the day, but I definitely know that it came out at night.

One night, (well it happened most nights, but this is usually what happened and is one I can really remember), this poltergeist moved all the furniture around. (This is usually what poltergeists do). This went on for a few nights. Then one night, me and my Mum heard some faint banging noises, she thought it was probably just the neighbours or some cats out side having a fight....

...That was until the rat was going mad and squeaking. So we ran down stairs to have a look... Now, what we saw was really amazing, yet scary-as-shit all at the same time. Back in those days, there weren't really any flat screen TVs, only big, heavy ones. These TVs were so big and heavy that you would need 2 or 3 really strong people to lift them...

...What we saw was:
The toy chest had been put in the middle of the room, then the coffee table was on top of it, then the TV was on top of that (no human could have done this, as the TV would have had to have been lifted nearly 3 or 4 feet high). And then the rat cage was on top of the TV. What came next, to this day, we still don't know how this was possible - the 3-seater sofa had been stacked on top of the rat cage.

Then a few days later, my Mum invited an inspector from Fortean Times (A magazine all about paranormal happenings) to come and have a look at the goings-on...

My Mum had put all the stuff back where it was before.

The inspector set up cameras all around the living room (for different angles on it, and to make sure it was captured). But during the night, this inspector was a first-hand witness to the activity - he could feel the poltergeists moving the sofa...
This guy had obviously never actually witnessed poltergeists before, as he got so scared that he shat himself and shouted "Im getting out of this place and never gonna come back!!!", and ran out screaming like a little girl.

Truly scary....must have been terrifying for you both...no wonder you moved 😱😳😁

@misslittleDHP yeah, it was! I think we moved partly because of the poltergeists, but also partly because my Mum was pregnant with my sister, and there wasn't enough room in the house! 😉

What is a poltergeist?:O despite my thickness I still lived reading it! Scarrryyyyyy

@lottiesylvie A poltergeist is basically an evil ghost/spirit that loves things about, and very rarely (and they have to be extremely angry/vengeful), they sometimes hurt people. But the one we had just moved stuff around and scared people, we never actually saw it though (never saw it as a ghost of a person), we only sensed it and knew it was there
