Chapter 7
"No, Vivos, The Caeruleus must have taken him" she says rather distraught.
"We cannot be to sure, Vivos wouldn't have gone down easily, let's check the camp" Fortis says trying to sound as reassuring as possible, hoping Fortis was right, we made our way as quick as possible to camp but there was no sight of him.
"We better leave here before dusk" Cap quickly says as we search the camp for Vivos. I notice etched into the bark of the tree that I slept under was a word that clearly wasn't there before. Trap. Out of all the words in the whole of the English language why would Vivos pick trap. Thoughts were rushing around my head, why trap?, was this set up?, was it just luck that Cap escaped?, maybe this was there before, but I decided to leave what I saw and not mention it to anyone. I check the sky and Cap was right so we quickly cook the squirrel and the rabbit before making our way to a new site. It was already dark and we still hadn't found a good place.
"What about a tree" I suggest "We could strap ourselves in and I have got rope"
"Ok, I don't think we have much choice either" Fortis says to convince Cap but Cap was already for the idea.
"I agree" she says, so we make our way to a large ash and make ourselves comfy. There was only two ropes not long enough to cut and I had to strap myself in with Fortis and we weren't very amused since we got the shorter of the two. So we both didn't end up getting rope burn and a uncomfortable night I had rapped my arms around Fortis and his around me so we could breath without the pain but with the laugh Cap. Luckily Cap's laughing and chanting Lovefession and Kisskat sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G didn't last all night since she was the first to fall asleep.
"So, Fortis are you tired" I say quietly trying my best to make conversation.
"Yes but I will never sleep at this rate" he says,
"That makes two of us" I reassure him that I wasn't hogging the rope so I could breath a little better. I surprisingly fell asleep quick but I was woken by a little snigger coming from opposite me. As I opened my eyes I noticed I was in quite a peculiar position. I was curled up in Fortis's arms and he clearly didn't wrap his arms around me on-purpose because he was still asleep.
"Finally, I've got someone to talk too, Kisskat" Cap called to me as I wriggled out of Fortis's arms.
"Cap, pass me the sock cos we need to get moving" I say loosening the rope, while I hold onto Fortis so he doesn't fall out.
"Here Kisskat" Cap giggles as she passes it to me excited to see the reaction. The sock was sweaty, coated in grime and I think it used to be red but now it is more like a mouldy brownish green shade. I hovered it under Fortis's nose while he was sleeping like a baby unaware of what was going to happen. I almost felt sorry for him, well, he was going to smell hell.
"Cap get it away, away, away" he muttered as his eyes slowly opened.
"Wrong it's me, Parva" I smile at his wrongness and I throw the sock back at Cap do she can stuff it in her pocket.
"We'll walk for half an hour then we'll eat, deal" I say while I untie the rope to free Fortis and myself. As I climbed down the tree and safely to the ground I wondered what Vivos is doing right now, most likely in a torture chamber, so I decided to shift my brain off the thought. Cap had managed to get down before me and while Fortis was still up there I asked her a simple question every Spirit Warrior should know the answer too."Cap, why do you think The Caeruleus have captured Vivos and why are they do keen on, well, most likely killing us" remembering what happened in the clearing the other day.
"Well we are traitors as you know because according to the people of the great city of Cinereo we are not human, and that is partly true because, well, you know we are half since over thousands of years we have been over exposed to radiation, causing our DNA to mutate. But when the problem was first addressed to the government of Cinereo, one of the first things that the governmental spokesman said to the prime minister, that has stuck in his head for quite a few years. That is, we've become mutations and nearly straight away a group of people called The Caeruleus were set on a mission to kill us all. Every member of them without a second thought, wanted to wipe us all out".

I am Ellenor, I am 12 years old. My hobbies are listening to music, choreographing dances and writing parodies to my favourite songs. My fave genre of book is fantasy. I enjoy the Hunger Games (I have read it twice it a row), The Lord of the rings, The Hobbit and Harry Potter. I am so sorry I can't be a better writer and poet but I try my best. I just do it anyway because it is the perfect cure for boredom.
