Thank God for not inventing magic, the world is already bad as it is.
We dont need a powerful magic weilding dictator oppressing us with his shooting flames. Theres already few out there who dont need magic.
We dont new religions who believe in water god or some elemental god, we have plenty of religions and problems with that too.
