We are capitalists
We like to compete
We must be better in comparison,
show them defeat
We like to observe things crumble
Help others only "if it's in our best interest"
We strive for greatness, innovation,
being the best.
We think of our futures, of what it holds for us
We think to improve upon what we have,
thoughts of others are lost.
We remain ignorant to what is below and zealous to what is above
We like to improve upon what we have,
forgetting what we have
forgetting those less fortunate
We like to judge
To make impressions
Despite our lack of knowledge
For other's sake we have no thirst
for inquisition.
We destroy and rebuild
We forget and remember
We are selfish and selfless
We forget to be grateful, and feel ashamed for it
We are untamed, desire
But we can be disciplined
Believe in me,
For I am the hope that defies our nature
