Her Still Singing Limbs

Adonta ta melê
Beneath the treetops calling
Echo, Echo through your cave
Pan or Zeus: your lovers cruel

Black on blue
A steak disclaimer
Back and backward to the blade
Papa's failing, Mother's fling

Packets never opened
Wrapped in cellophane
Aure and age blowing past
Pebbles, plastic, tambourine skin

Madness of the Zodiac
Cheerful while suspended
Wide and wide, unnatural
Persephone, lips splayed

Clever 😄

Really clever poem...lots of new words for me...great stuff:):):)

Had to google a lot of that! Love your use of Latin, it's a beautiful archaic language. Especially love the mythology theme. A question, what meaning of the word 'trough' did you imply in the first stanza?

@sjw @misslittleDHP @Nom Thankyou, ladies :O) First line translates in situ as 'Her Still Singing Limbs'. It is a beautiful language, more present than archaic although little used in a direct linguistic form. J x

@Zoodark you didn't answer the 'trough' question...and I wish @naaviie was around to put you straight on one point!

@Nom Ha ha, even I'm prone to typos :OP Naivee, care to
