It's a happy day! Just don't ask me why. I like the singing birds, And the bright blue sky.
I like the fluffy clouds, And I like how it's almost spring. The little beetles tell it On the ground and on wing.
The leaves are green and merry, And the trees all laugh and wave. If I could keep today wrapped up, Forever it would be saved.
In a little brown package Tied up with blue lace, That's where I'd keep it, And grey skies it would erase.
