Knowledge is fruitless. It provides you with the thoughts of others, history, facts. Wisdom, however, is multi-dimensional. It provides you with an understanding of how to think for yourself, to venture in to places no one else has - to push existing boundaries and, thus, provide knowledge for the present and the future.
I've come across too many college students who think they know it all. They spout knowledge, but display no human wisdom or philosophy.
