'Deprived' she was named, And so it was deemed, That Deprived would never Accomplish her dream.
Deprived wasn't pretty But she had the wit. And she had some talent But daydreamed a bit.
She dreamed of books, Of reading the greats. But she was dealt A bad hand from The Fates.
The Schools declared, That she had no chance, But knowing herself, She aimed to enhance.
So she hit the books, And resources she could, To achieve the dreams, That she knew she would.
Her grades, they improved And Deprived took her place, In academia, Away from the rat race.
So when The Man, Pushes you back, Just use your mind, To counterattack.
If Deprived could do it, Then so can the rest, Do all you can, To say you did your best.
