Clouds turn black like smoke Roll like waves Chill the air
Rain sloughs off of shoulders Patters on hooded heads Wicks off of thin umbrellas.
Lightning flickers like dappled moonlight Flashes in the puddles Momentarily blinds.
Thunder vibrates the house Startles the dog Wakes the child.
