I'd love to know if normality actually exists. I mean, if life was constantly 'normal' every day how would we define ourselves?
See here's what I think:
Today I came across a problem I couldn't fix. Not due to laziness, or ineptitude, or any other variable under my control. No, the problem was I had reached the limits of my ability.
This was hardly unusual. It happens every time I remember I'm not married any more. But surely that's the point? Why would we want to be 'normal'? If we were all normal, where would we find out hero's? To what would we aspire if our only goal in life was to be matched with everyone else? I'm sure Huxley wrote about something like that and I'm not sure I liked the way it turned out.
I don't want to be normal. Just as well really.

Hopeless writer, hopeless romantic, but going in the right direction at last.
