Today I talk about a particular group of people. The year 7's "7th graders"

(I am expecting massive controversy... But hell with it)

(in England) year 7 is the first jump to secondary "high" school. A place where every boy and girl lives out most of puberty and their teen years. The problem with year 7's is that they are neither teenage or pubic, and that's where problems occur. To describe a typical year 7 I would have to use language I will try to avoid, but here goes...

A typical popular boy: "WAZZUP!!! see I used an interesting word because I'm so individual and cool, and all my friends are below me and if they do anything individual I call them gay. I play dumb in lessons and never bring in my homework, cos then the girls will think I'm a rebel not a nerd. Stuff I like talking about: girls, guns, COD, films I'm not supposed to watch cos someone says fuck in them, and how I went to a party and got wasted even though I'm only 12. I don't care that I'm wasting my childhood, I just want to be accepted by the year 8's and 9's. But no one can know that"

A typical popular girl: "heyyyyyyyyy there xxxxxxxxx<3<3 I'm popular but really I'm a bitch, all I care about is boysss! And I'm so grown up cus I look like a slut but the boysss like that, I'm thinking of getting this new padded bra cos my friends tits are massive and I'm wel jel! Me and my slut friends are so close and we share everything and have such an exciting life. Even though half of my life is Facebook, though I'm too young for it... I'm such a bad girl ;) tomozz I'm going to have another sleepover with my bff's! Omg I'm so sociable!"

That's the end of my rant. I just felt like it had to be said. Not all people fall into these categories, and I'm sure none of you reading this will :) but please. Year 7's do not waste your innocence and late childhood trying to be "hard" and cool. Looking back you will feel like you have lost something. «Alex»
