A deer, soft and shifting. Across the silent bed, Flowers fluttering, Sky shining, filled with alligators. But the doe canters on, Into the midnight pink horizon. She lifts her head to whisper goodbye;
Beautiful, elegant. Strong as an elephant. Glowing light, Walking into the night.
The stag stands at the threshold, Watching her play with the strands of sparking energy that closes the gap between her and the moon. He nods, Disappears. The young deer's fur ripples in the breeze. A single tear brushes against her fur, Memories emblazoned, Never to be forgotten.
