The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight:
The glowing orb above me,
In its shining silver case.
It's the only one that knows me,
The only one in space.
You were there when I was tiny,
Miles from the sand.
But there you helped to coax me,
To guide me to the land.
Years ago it happened,
I was lapping at the shore.
When the soldiers marched across me,
Preparing for the war.
I tried to hide it from my eyes,
You made sure I got through.
I never would have made it,
If it wasn't for you.
The peace took a while to hit me,
The sand was still stained red.
I waited for the next time,
But, "it's over," you said.
You may still be wondering,
What I'm trying to say.
I guess I'm not quite sure,
It's just the only way.
It's the only way to understand,
What the Earth has put us through.
I'm the Sea and you're the Moon,
And I think I'm in love with you.
