Cruising along the sea line, The water clear and cool. The whale bobs slowly, Relaxation forms a pool.

The ocean flows gently, Carrying the whale out to sea, But the mammal floats onwards, Softly letting the world be.

The seabed shimmers silver, The fish dart to and fro. Yet the whale just blinks lazily, The sleepy eyes we know.

We know the creature's purpose, The twinkle in its eye. The calm in all the universe, The science of a sigh.

The water ripples, placid, The whale swims towards a light. The rays shine white and brilliant, And freedom is its plight.
