"Come on.. It's not that cold." Jordan said smiling, standing in the lake with his jeans rolled up. Roslyn laughed at him from the dock. He slowly walked back over to her, looking up at her, with his ruffled hair and crooked smile. He looked adorable. Roslyn giggled, sitting down in front of him. His eyes glimmered under the moonlight, along with the lake. "It's warm... Come on." He said, taking her hands. She pulled them out. "I.. I've never swam before Jordan." His grin got bigger. "You've never been in the water?" He shook her head. He ripped his shirt off, grinning, eyes playful. She stared at his body, coated in scars, hard, muscular. He was beautiful. Roslyn stripped down to her thin white tank top and rolled jeans. Slowly, she lowered herself off the dock, shakily landing into the warm, knee deep water. Jordan slowly approached her, wrapping his arms around her fragile body. She relaxed, feeling his warm skin against hers, his hands running through her long hair, she felt his heartbeat, gently tracing her fingertips down the arch of his back, small lines, which she assumed were his scars. He smelling the lovely smell of her hair, gently, slowly pulling her deeper into the water, he felt her tense. "It's okay.." He murmured. She stared at him. Slowly, he continued to pull her into the water, until it was to her waist. He let her go. She swished her hands through the water in fascination. He smiled, watching her curiosity. She watched the water run through her fingers, like a small child. "It's lovely.." She said. He grabbed her from behind, spinning her around in the water, she laughed. Jordan laughed too, watching her joy. For hours, they played in the water, screaming, laughing, and splashing under the moonlight.

*** Something was touching Roslyn. Warm, gentle fingers. She smiled, eyes still closed as she realized who it was. Where were they? She didn't even remember where they went after their swim. She opened her eyes. They were in the field, a few feet away from the shore. "Morning love.." Jordan murmured softly. Roslyn smiled, rolling onto her back, the warm sun shined on the lake, he knelt over her, smiling, his eyes glimmering an impossible, deep, beautiful green. He was happy. "What day is it?" "Friday.." He said. "We smell like grass and lake.." Roslyn said smiling. He grinned. "That was.. Wonderful Roslyn. You.. You just fix me. You make me forget everything. You make me feel human." He said. In the sunlight, she could see the viscous lines that coated his beautiful body. She traced the scar on his cheek. "We should go back.. I over heard we're needed for preparations, for when the new kids come. Start setting training stations.." Roslyn said. Jordan's smile faded. "I guess.." He said. "I know, how hard this is for you.. But, we need you. They need you. I need you Jordan." He blinked. She sat up, reaching for her shoes and sweater. He grabbed his shirt and shoes, heading back across the field.

*** Roslyn crept into her room, trying not to startle clove, who was, as usual, with her earbuds in, face shoved into her book. She looked up, smiling. "You slept with him in the field. Sweet." Roslyn dropped her things on the floor. "We didn't, do anything. We just ended up falling asleep." She leaped off the bed, smiling, picking blades of grass from her hair. "Roslyn, I took your advice." Roslyn frowned. "Adrian asked me out." She grinned. "Oh! That's great." She said, giving a thumbs up. "Walter wants us in the dining room for noon." She said, looking at the clock. "It's ten thirty, go shower." She said. Roslyn smirked, obeying her. She did like her knew friend. Other than Jordan, she felt open towards Clove. She quickly slipped into the shower, scrubbing herself down, smiling like an idiot the whole time. Yes, they were going to die in a few months, but she didn't mind, as long as she had Jordan. Deep down inside she felt like she didn't deserve such a lovely boy. She was the lonely bitch. But she had him. And she was deeply in love with him. Finally, the last of the dirt and blades of grass slid down the drain, she slid out of the shower, quickly drying off, slipping into a burgundy t-shirt and dark jeans as her hair began to dry, falling into her strange loose curls. She opened the door, letting out a gasp, Jordan stood waiting for her, fresh and clean. Clove hid in the corner behind him, her little fingers locked with a cute boy, with short blonde hair and light blue eyes. "Um.. Hey guys.. You that excited to see me.. Or something?" She asked awkwardly. Clove giggled. "I was coming to get you, Adrian shimmered up here, and then.. Jordan cane for you too.. I'll catch you later." She said. There was a sparkling light, as her and Adrian disappeared. "You ready?" Roslyn asked. "I'm about to walk into hell. I never will be." He said, his eyes darkening slightly. "Let's go.." Roslyn said, taking his hand, walking into the beginning of preparation for a hideous bloodbath.
