"It's perfect." Roslyn said. Jordan slipped his arms around her, his chin resting on her head. She stared at the beautiful black four-poster bed, the walls were a dark, comforting green, there was a massive vanity and dresser, a desk, and bookshelves. Along with a fireplace, there was a set of big double doors leading to a balcony. "Walter spoils us." She said. "I would love to spend time together in here love, but today is day one of training. I can here the voices of the new kids." He said. "Right." "I'll leave you to change." He said, walking out. Roslyn slipped into her training gear. She looked in the mirror. She looked decent, her hair very black against the sturdy grey material. She looked tired. She tied up her boots and headed out to meet with Jordan, and the two headed to the dining hall.

"First thing you need to know when killing demons, never, take your eye off the enemy." Mr. Blackwood said, pacing through the line of students in the combat section of the field. "The second thing you need to know, even if, this bastard is on the ground, still, you do not walk away from it until it disappears into black smoke." He said. "Does anyone know why?" A tall boy, new, with dark hair put up his hand. "They aren't dead. They must disappear to return to their dark realm. They could harm you." He said. "Yes, thank you Demitri." "Today, we will work on dodging. I need aquins, flickers, and others that control elements, or can move things with their minds, to partner with other kinds." Jordan made eye contact with Roslyn. She felt herself smirk. "Everyone spread out! No accidents." He demanded, as the group separated around their space of the field. "This is too easy for you." Roslyn said, flaming up her hands. Jordan grinned. "Never said it wasn't fun." She laughed. "Ready?" "Bring it." She through balls of flames at him, he dodged every one. "Very nice Jordan." Mr.Blackwood said, handing him a basket of balls. "Her turn." He said, patting his back. "Ready?" Roslyn grinned. "Bring it." Quickly, he threw balls toward her, she managed to dodge all but two. "Very nice." He said, moving towards her. She smiled, hands on her hips. "Now, If all but the flickers and Aras could pair up, the rest of you sit out for me for a moment..." The teacher called. Eight out of the twenty in the group stayed standing, an even amount of each. Aras controlled air. "I need an Ara to pair with a flicker please." He called. Roslyn found herself with a smaller, blonde girl. She was new. "I'm tammy." She said. "Roslyn." Roslyn replied. "Now, if you put these two together, you can wipe out a big group all at once. Give it a try." Roslyn glanced at the girl, she nodded, closing her eyes, raising her hands. A breeze began to build. Roslyn closed her eyes her palms burning up. She could feel Jordan's eyes in her. Flames burst in her palms, she blew them from her hand, the girl blasted the the flames, sending them blasting out, a massive patch of grass black, smoke floated in the air. The teacher clapped. "Very good. I believe we are out of time, if you could all head back in please, and get yourselves prepared for the burials." He said. Jordan was at her side, instantly, guiding her back up to the manor.

*** Clove shoved her face into Jordan's chest as they lowered Clove's casket into the ground, on the island across the lake. "Shhh.." He said, rocking her back and forth. He stared out in the distance, across the lake, with his eyes fixed on a small figure, on what looked like a horse. Roslyn felt him tense, pulling her face off his chest, staring at him. "What is it?" She asked. His eyes darkened slightly. "Don't worry about it.." He said, leaving her side, eyes fixed on the figure, which was still, watching him. "Where are-" "Stay with the rest." He said, staring at her tear streaked face, Olivia approached her side. He turned, quietly taking his shoes and jacket off, slipping into the lake, swimming back across. "What is it?" Roslyn asked Olivia, staring at the boy on the horse across the field. She glanced back at the big crowd of mourners. "I, don't know.." She stared at Jordan, three quarters across the lake now. "I'd like to find out myself. Come." She said, grabbing Roslyn's arm, running into the woods, holding Roslyn closely. "What are we doing?" Roslyn went into shock as she watched the ground get smaller. She found herself staring at the treetops. "Olivia?" "Don't worry." She said, flying across the lake, meeting soaked Jordan at the docks. His eyes were very dark, but not entirely black. The boy on the horse slowly approached them. He looked to be seventeen, with ruffled blonde hair, and steel blue eyes. He jumped off the horse. "Jordan?" He said. "How do you know me?" He growled. "I-I was Tamar's s-slave. I escaped." He said. Roslyn stared at Jordan's fingers, curling into fists.
