"Tell me everything you know of Tamar's plans Wilbur." Walter said, sitting back in his chair, Wilbur across from him. Wilbur stared at the calendar for a moment. August 28th it was. He swallowed, staring at the old man. He breathed. "He'll be ready by december. He's summoning demons from the underworld. He wants to wipe us all out." Walter nodded. "We have two hundred coming in a week. We're all training hard. What did you say your ability was?" "When I draw, the object becomes real." He said. "Ah, that's rare. They call one's like you illustrus." He explained, sliding a note pad and pen toward him. "Draw me... A flower." He said. In a minute, an inky black flower was sketched on the note pad, and in moments, a real, pretty light pink flower appeared in it's place. Wilbur looked impressed. "You drew you're horse correct?" "Yes ." Wilbur said. "I'll be keeping a very close eye on you, but.. We will have great use for you. I'll take you to a room, with two other boys. Very nice, Flynn, and Adrian. You must understand that Adrian's lover was buried today. He is going through a rough time, but Flynn is very nice. Come." He said. The two rised, Walter lead him down the hall, filled with faint sounds of sobs and sniffles from behind the doors.
*** "That son of a bitch will die for what he did to clove." Roslyn growled, hot tears soaking her face. Jordan stood, eyes black, watching her did her nails into the edge of the mattress. He wasn't himself. He wasn't his safe self, he avoided her, trying not to hurt her. His human side screamed on the inside, to comfort her. His dark bitter side, too strong. Part of him, felt the need to kill something, the other part wanted to kiss her so bad it practically hurt. He clenched his fists, restraining himself. Roslyn bit down on her lip, hard. A drop of blood ran down onto her black dress she wore to the burial. The school gave the students the afternoon to themselves to mourn. The metallic taste filled her mouth. She curled up on the bed, staring out the window. Jordan began to settle. He went to the side she faced. She watched his eyes flood with green, demolishing the black. They glimmered. He was back. She touched his face. He smiled his crooked, cute smile. "That's better." She murmured. "We're going to kill him. We're going to kick his ass together love." He said. She felt her mouth curl into a smile. "Okay." She said. Tracing his face with her finger. He sprawled out on the bed beside her, both of them fell asleep.
*** The dining room was dimly lit, very quiet. Not very many came down to dinner, but Roslyn woke up with a growling stomach. There were around fifteen others spread around the room. Jordan sat at the back with Roslyn, playing with his soup. "What training to we do tomorrow?" She asked, scooping a carrot. "Uh, survival, and alchemy." He said. "I hear survival is fun. You start with man hunt. Just to get warmed up. Lot's of natural remedies and stuff..." She said. "And I hear alchemy is difficult." Roslyn shrugged. "I wasn't bad a chemistry at my old school." She said. Jordan nodded, watching the new boy, Wilbur, and Flynn approach them. "Hey guys." Flynn said. "You guys met Wilbur." Roslyn looked at him. "Hi." She sId awkwardly. He waved gently, looking nervous. Roslyn saw Jordan's glare. She gave him a light kick. "Be nice." She said through her teeth. He gave her a look, then glanced at the door. She nodded. "How's Adrian holding up?" She asked. "Not that great... Maybe you should talk to him Roslyn." Flynn said, stuffing a roll in his mouth. Jordan exchanged expressions with Roslyn. She stood up. "Maybe I'll do just that." She said, leaving the room, Jordan at her side. She hurried up to Flynn's room, stopping at the door looking at Jordan. "Let me handle it. I'll meet you upstairs." He kissed her forehead, jamming his hands in his pockets, stalking down the hall. Roslyn opened the door, finding Adrian on his bed. His eyes were red and swollen, he stared at the ceiling. "Adrian?" "Get the hell out." "Hey, I'm here to talk to you." She said, slowly approaching him. "Roslyn?" "Yes." He sat up, staring at her, as she slowly sat on the edge of his bed. "Adrian. I miss her too. She was my friend." She saw his jaw clench. "She died. Right in my arms." "She died holding my hand, on my bed. I know it hurts." "I loved her so much." He sobbed. He had a photo in his hand. "Can I see?" He handed it to her. It was Clove, smiling in his arms, the two looking very happy. A ball formed in her throat. "We're training. We're training so we can destroy the man that destroyed your love. We can get through this Adrian." He put his head in his hands. "It's okay. I'm here for you. I'll be your friend." He stared at her. She opened he arms. He went right in. She wasn't really used to talking and helping others. It felt good. She wanted to help Adrian get through this. She felt like she had too. She would. Tears burned her eyes, as she held him, telling him that everything would get better. Would it?
