Jordan lead her through the pale yellow, candle-lit dining room. The room was rather large, filled with rows of dark-wood tables. Three were full of laughing, happy looking teenagers, all around their age. Jordan lead her to a table at the back, where a blonde girl with angel wings, and a muscular boy sat. They sat in across from the two. "Roslyn, this is Flynn, and Olivia." "Um, hey." She said. Olivia smiled. "So nice to see you up and walking! I see the clothes fit well." She said, looking at her clothes. "These, are yours?" "I filled your wardrobe with my old clothes and gear." She said, stabbing a potato with her fork. Flynn looked at Jordan, blue eyes playful. "So, you got yourself a girl now eh?" Jordan smiled a cute, crooked smile. "Shut up man." Flynn turned to Roslyn grinning. "Now, I've know this guy for some time. He plays rough. You be careful." He winked. "I'm a big girl, and I especially, know how to handle the big boys." She said, grinning back. Flynn laughed, Olivia chuckled, Jordan laughing too. She nibbled on peas and potatoes. Jordan and Flynn talked about weaponry. Slowly Jordan began to quiet. He pushed his plate away, looking at Roslyn. "Want to walk?" She nodded, relieved of having to be around so many people. He lead her out quickly, leading her outside and into the field. "Why are we here? Clove-" "I just need out. I need space and air." She looked up at him, touching his forehead. "Your burning up." "I'm fine." He inhaled. They wandered down the hill in silence. It was still all new for her, to be so close to a boy, so fast. She didn't mind, he was beautiful. The pair laid on their backs, on the cool grass, staring at the stars. "Roslyn.." He said, rolling over to face her. "Mm?" She said, half asleep. He traced her face, than ran his hands through her hair. "What? What's wrong Jordan?" He didn't answer with words. He put his mouth to hers, she made a noise of surprise, but let him continue. Their heart raced. She liked the feeling of his mouth on hers, his kisses starting gentle, slowly getting harder. He continued moving his jaw, their movements synced. He ran his hands over her fragile body. Something burned inside of him. Something dark. She felt his grip on her tighten, slowly beginning to hurt. Her chest pounded harder. She needed air. His skin felt like it was burning on hers. "Jordan.." She managed. He didn't release her. "Jordan.." He wasn't listening. "God damn it I can't breathe!" She yelled, shoving him off. He rolled over, staring at her in shock. She squinted, noticing the glimmering green had disappeared, replaced by a viscous black. "Jordan.. I didn't mean it.. I just needed to breathe." He stared at her, anger pulsing through him. She inches toward him, reaching to touch him. He inhaled, smelling her sweet scent, and grass. He loved her. He wouldn't kill her. Slowly she inched toward him, and ran her cool fingers across his cheek. "It's ok." She said. Her sides were throbbing. "I hurt you." He growled. "No, it's okay. I just couldn't breathe. I did enjoy it Jordan." That part relieved him. "You don't get it roslyn. Sometimes I just turn into a monster, and get nasty. I don't mean to hurt anyone." "You won't hurt me." He frowned at her. "I'm bringing you to your room." He said. Without another word, he scooped her up and ran her to her balcony, leaping, landing perfectly on the railing. He tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "Sleep well." He disappeared. Roslyn stared at the figure, lightning speed, bolt across the field and to the forest. She could still taste him on her lips. "I love you Jordan." She said under her breath, turning and walking into her room. Clove was back, curled up in pajamas with her head in her book. She stood up. "Enough grass in your hair?" She said smirking, pulling little green blades out from her hair. "Um, yeah.. Oops." She said awkwardly. "There's windows around here girl. I saw that." Roslyn felt her face get hot, she turned and headed to the wardrobe, finding a pair of purple pajamas. "You like him." She said from across the room, looking out the window again. Roslyn couldn't help but let out a small giggle as she quickly slid into her pajama pants. Clove turned to her smiling. "He's strange." She said. "He's perfect." Roslyn said, sitting on her bed. Clove smirked, folding the page of her book, closing it, and placing it on her bedside table. "What about you?" Roslyn asked. Her cheeks went pink. "Well.. I kind of have a thing, with Adrian Redstone." "Oh?" "Come with me to breakfast. I'll point him out. We've always had, a thing." "A thing?" "Sure. He just got these light, icy blue eyes, and ruffled hair... He can shimmer." "Very nice.. Shimmer?" "It's like, teleporting. But, he shimmers." "Oh." "Your a nice, beautiful girl clove. Go get him. He'll be lucky." Roslyn said, yawning. "Thanks.. That means a lot. Maybe I will. For now, let's sleep shall we?" Roslyn nodded, slipping under the soft covers. Exhaustion flowed through her, her sides throbbed. The moment her head hit her pillow, she found herself asleep.
