I really do astonish myself when I think about my thought train when dreaming. It's quite profound to think that I'm actually aware that I am away in a different world, yet as many others would simply wake up as their brain is obviously awake enough to distinguish between dreams and reality. I however don't wake up; what's even better however is that I can then use this to my advantage. Just last night in my dreams I - for some unknown reason - was walking through the destitute Birmingham neighbourhood of Castle Vale. I stopped walking and realised that I was just dreaming. I snapped my fingers and instantly the world around me changed: I was no longer in a depressing Birmingham suburb - I was on an Australian Beach! I walked up the beach blissfully listening to the crashing waves. I headed off the beach to the car park. I walked up to an empty space and then I realised once again, I was dreaming an anything was possible. "I might as well take advantage of this power" I thought. I snapped my fingers once again and then that empty space in the car park was filled with the gorgeous body of the Bugatti Veyron Vitesse. I then reached into the pocket of the shorts I wore due to the heat; when my hand came out of my pocket in the palm lay the key to this 1,200 BHP, 270mph convertible. I sunk into the luxurious leather seat and thought to myself "very nice, but there's something missing". I then turned my head and a rather sexy lady was sitting in the passenger seat. The perfect scene was set: the Australian coastline was my location; the car of my dreams was my ride...and the passenger was alright too ;). I then started to hear the pitter-patter of rain on my window, and then I realised my dream was slipping away and reality was seeping in. I sit here and think of the phenomenal implication it would have if reality was as independent and interchangeable as my dreams. It could never be like that for everyone though, so I guess that's what dreams are made of...
