As she was taking her first bite of a spicy springroll, her eyes wandered down the street. She spotted him, the guy who months before had broke her heart. He was heading her direction and it was too late to hide. He came beside her, almost passing. Before he suddenly stopped. "Hi! Vera" he said. As unconvenient as this meeting already was, she still had that spicy springroll in her mouth. She waved as a response and chewed as fast as she could. "How are you?" he asked. She swallowed and said she was fine, asked how he was doing and tried to look cool. "Oh, I'm great. Have a new job and a girlfriend now, Jessica."
Damn it! How the heck could he have found someone so quicly?!
"What are you eating?" he asked. "A spicy springroll".
