The Olympics is the simple answer to that, I'm going to see badminton at wembley at 8 in the morning and my OCD father is getting us up at 4;30 . I'm bored so I will now summarise the opening ceremony from a "Londoners " perspective the first scene with cricket, cows, horses, a cottage and a maypole was random and even when farming was big in Britain (before the industrial revolution ) it was still NEVER as quaint as that, the industrial revolution was good but Brunel (inventor) was not abraham lincoln (some americans thought this) the rings lifting into the sky, the mad women playing the bongo drums not so good. the James bond and Queen sketch GREAT! LOL especially the sky diving, after that the minute silence for the dead (very nice and respectful) NHS section WTF? that's not how you get treated in real life and not how the doctors and nurses treat each other (dancing) the great ormond street was nice. the modern teenager section kinda true bit the boy in the sketch was not fit at all compared to the girl was pretty! and when do teenagers dress like that? and have house party's with dizzy rascal? NEVER, the Beckham boat thing was nice and the coper petal flame is really pretty. Out of 5 I rate the opening ceremony 3.5 your welcome to message me with your own votes
