"I heard she's Z's daughter." a voice says.
"No, remember? That's the girl with the sparkling eyes." Another voice says.
"I thought there were two of them!" The first voice exclaims.
"Who cares."
I slowly blink open my eyes. I'm in a little steal room, and there's dim lighting, so I can't see the faces very while.
"Hey- girl, are you Z's kid?" one face asks.
I rub my eyes. "Who's Z?"
"She doesn't remember!" face #2 exclaims.
"What did I forget?" I ask.
"That your Z's daughter!"
"Who's Z?" I figure I should try to get some information out of these two guys since they look weak. I'll try to play innocent lovable kid.
"You really don't kniw who Z is? Why do they even have you here, then?"
"Where's here?" I ask, eyes wide and innocent.
Face #2 throws up his hands in defeat. "You explain."
Face #2 sighs. "Okay. You are in Solo Everon. Z is our boss."
"Who are you? What is Solo Everon?"
Face #2 looks fustrated. "I'm Wess. This is Max. We work for an amazing company called Eldonist, always trust Eldonist. They'd never hurt anyone." I force myself not to laugh. Oh, really? Eldonist would never hurt anyone? Always trust Eldonist? "Solo Everon is Eldonist's base."
"Oh, I see..." I say. I look around. I have information- now I need to get out before something bad happens. I spot a door with a glowing exit sign over it. Wow, Eldonist isn't that smart.
Wess and Max start talking to each other, and I sit up. They haven't locked me down or anything. Not smart at all.
"Hey..." I say.
"What?" Wess asks.
"You have something on your face... right... there." I point to my forehead.
"I do?" Wess rubs his forehead. "Max, do you see something here?" Max looks.
"No."
"How do you not see it? Is there a mirror around here?"
"In the bathroom..." Wess runs his forehead again.
"Wait- what is that in you hair?" I ask Max.
"What? What is in my hair?" Max tussles his short hair.
"You better go to the bathroom and look in the mirror, because it looks b-a-d..." I tilt my head. "Is it growing...?" The two men look at each other and run out. Yes!
I stand up and head to the exit door. I push it open and find it quite like LC, with people running all over screaming at other people. But somehow it's different... There's like an evil glow to all of it. I shudder and look around for an exit sign.
I find one and push through the crowd to go to it. Nobody seems to see me. Wow, Eldonist is really dumb!
I push open the exit door and alarms start going off. I take what I just said back.
"Escape! Escape! Escape!" The alarm blares. People look up from what their doing and look at me. Security guards run after me. Shoot.
I duck my head and run outside. It's midday, but I can't tell what country or city I'm in. I don't even know what day it is.
"Stop! Hold it!" someone yells. I keep running. I haven't seen any houses or roads yet, so this is probably out in the middle of nowhere. Good spot for a base.
Whizzzz! Something goes flying past me. My eyes widen and I run faster. They're shooting at me!
Whiiiiizzzzzzzzzzz! A bullet almost hits me. How do I escape?
Sudently, I see a road. I need to get to this road! Run, Autumn, run!
Whiii- I fall over. My arm is throbbing and bleeding horribly. I wince in pain and tears stream down my face. My arm is in a pool of red, sticky, warm blood. My blood. A bullet hit me. This is the one thing Summer never prepared me for- pain.
