Birds, animals, and all the nature sounds surrounded Peter as he wandered through the forest. The music of the world washed over him as he enjoyed his walk. His feet led him in between trees, over roots, and away from bushes until he reached the tallest tree in the forest. The boy climbed the tree and saw forever and more. There were mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, streams, towns; everything.
Peter smiled and continued climbing, higher and higher. He pushed his head through the thick leaves and saw forever and more. He saw a city in the distance, lights shinning brightly in the evening sky; everything.
Peter smiled and continued climbing, higher and higher. He pushed his hand through the thick leaves and saw forever and more. He saw beaches past the city and an ocean past that; everything.
Peter smiled and continued climbing, higher and higher until he reached the top. The boy looked, he saw past the horizon, the Eiffel Tower, Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal; everything….
The boy smiled and climbed lower and lower. He slowly lowered himself and touched the ground. His feet began to lead him home, surrounded by the sounds of nature. A voice unbalanced the peace. The voice called his name, his mother reached for his hand. She took him home, fretting over her blind son alone in the forest.
