CHAPTER 6

Rain poured from the dark sky. The clouds had completely covered Mikan's trail and left Tamari soaked to the bone. She bounded away from the rubble and found shelter in a semi-dry cave. Emotions swirled through her and ate at her pride. What could she do? None of the people from where she lived would help her, she thought, since no cared about her. If Mikan continued to capture the remaining Creators, the world she knew could collaspe. Who to help her? She sat in the cave for hours until the idea popped into her head when she drifted into sleep. The other Controller. There were two in all; Mikan and Solind. Mikan went bad, but Solind stayed true to his duty. If she found him... Maybe she could controll her Creator powers and maybe rescue Damian. She woke up from slumber and looked outside. The rain had let up and the sun barely peaked out from the mountains. The smell of earth and dew filled the air, calming Tamari. She felt coneceted the the forest, like it was apart of her somehow. What had Mikan said? He had called her Temari, Protector of the Wood. Did that mean she was the Creator of the forest and earth? She knew she had to be a protector of something, though. Temari set out into the woodland, feeling the breeze from the moutains. She traveled quite a distance before she had reached the center of the vast woodland, stopping at the largest tree she could find and rested on one of its branches. After sitting for only a few minutes, she felt a weird sensation occur in her foot. Curious, she looked down at them. The entire leg had hardened into a part of the tree. She yelped in surprisement and tried to move it away. As soon as she moved, the leg slowly went back to normal. She was truly one with the forest, she thought. But why was it happening right now? Why hadnt this happened before? So many things had happened in the last ten hours that it left Temari speechless with thought and questions. After having the same encounter happen to her twice more, she felt the seal, now on her back, throb. It burned like dry ice and made her stop walking. Why was it happening? What was happening? Though she couldnt see herself, her entire body had grown white with the immense power of a Creator. It gleemed and glowed like the sun and bubbled out a tune all the animals in the forest could hear. It was a sweet song, old as the wolves, and hummed out all around in all directions. No humans heard it, but one in avatar form did, and knew that he had to hurry. The man, siloeted by shadows of the morning, rushed through the mountain pass. As he ran, dirt flew behind him, covering up every track he made. He ran so fast that he entered the forest in ten minitues flat. As he approached the center of the woodland, the bright light he sensed grew brighter. He mustered the extreme power, making hand signals in the air to control the mass anount of light. The light decreased enough so that he saw the little girl, who had fallen to her knees. He placed his hand on her back where the seal had opened and frantically closed it, sending spirals to retreat to her face. She sputtered and coughed. After a few momements, she turned to she her savior. "Who are you?" she asked. "Solind, the First Controller."
