CHAPTER 4
Temari's throat felt sealed shut with shock. Could she really believe that she, the misfit no one looked up to, was one of the legendary Creators? It seemed imposible; unthinkable that she could contain such power that could might as well move mountains. No words came out of her hung open mouth as Mikan watched curiously. "It doesnt look like you believe me." he mused, "come here and I'll show you your powers." Temari realized the danger of the man before her. If she was what he said she was, then there was no doubt about what he'd do to her and Damian to get the power locked within their bodies. The magical blood that flowed in her veins rushed forward, her heart beating louder in her chest like an African drum. The sense of adrenaline popped into her once more and she refrained from freaking herself out. She needed to get out of this room. She needed to save Damian and protect the village she had left behind. Her best friend was just starting to regain conciousness beside her, but he would be too groggy to move on his own. Her best bet was to talk to Mikan as long as she could so Damian would be capable of movement. "What are you going to do." she finally answered, swallowing her fear and her heart slowed to a rythmetic beat. Mikan flashed her another one of his devilish smiles and waved the Thunder Demon to push her forward. The minion obeyed, the cold and clammy feeling rejoining the room once again. She was a few feet away from Mikan, and yet when he flash his arm forward, something beyond her comprehension reached out and pulled at her tatoo on her face. She had never felt this kind of pain before. It was as cold as ice, yet it burned with such feroscity that she cried out in agony. Though she couldnt see it, the looping spirals on her cheek were spinning, making small pops as it unlocked the long forged seal. The spirals slithered down her back until hitting the middle of her spine where a ripple of chills spread out from the pin point. She fell to the ground, grinding her teeth, trying to keep up with the pain. The churning started in her back, where each bump was unlocked like a key until the final vertebre popped open. Then everything was covered in white light.
