There was once a young boy called Charlie Snow, who was an orphan and lived in England.

Charlie was a very sad little boy. He did not like Christmas and did not get any presents. Not that he cared about presents. He just wanted a family.

One Christmas Eve, Charlie made a wish as he saw a shooting star. He wished that he could see if Santa Clause really existed.

That night, when Charlie was in bed, there was a flash of light. A beautiful, smiling angel appeared before him. It stood at the foot of his bed. The angel spoke in a soothing voice. "Do not be scared, Charlie. I am here to make your wish come true." said the angel. "Really?" replied Charlie, sitting up in bed. "Yes. Hold my hand. Fly with me." and the angel held out her hand. "Where are we going?" asked Charlie, holding the angel's hand. "To the North Pole!" she replied. The angel flapped her wings and away they flew, over the rooftops, high in the sky.

Charlie couldn't believe what was happening! He was flying! The angel was smiling at him, glowing as she did. Stars in the sky were gently waving at them, saying hello to the angel, guiding the way to the North Pole. "I never knew stars came alive." whispered Charlie. "Charlie. We have arrived." said the angel, pointing to the ground. They swooped down, snow scattering all around them. "What's that?" said Charlie, pointing to a small building in the distance. "Come on! This is what we came for!" shouted the angel!

They both ran to the building, and as they got closer they saw it was a house. A jolly man and woman were coming outside, and saw the angel and Charlie. They waved and walked over.

As they got closer, Charlie knew who the man and woman were. Santa and Mrs. Clause! Charlie couldn't believe it! "You are real!" beamed Charlie, and he felt happy for the first time in years. "Yes, Charlie. I am real. And I know how sad you've been. Come for a ride in my sleigh!" at that moment, a magical sleigh appeared, with reindeer at the reins.

Charlie climbed into the sleigh, followed by the angel and Santa. As they set off, the angel flew out. Charlie grabbed her ankle. "Don't go, Angel. You've made me so happy!" shouted Charlie. "You'll see me next Christmas..." replied the angel, and she turned into a bright star. "I didn't know her name!" whimpered Charlie, hanging his head. "Anna!" called the star, and she waved.

Charlie and Santa rode on through the night, spreading magic as they went. "Charlie, I hope you will be happy now." said Santa, smiling. "Yes! But why did you never bring presents to me?" asked Charlie, his eyes filled with tears. "I did, but you never saw them. Because you never believed in me. When you wake up, on Christmas Day, you'll see all the presents I have left you."

That was all Charlie remembered. The next morning, he awoke in his bed and saw the place where Anna stood. When he went downstairs, there were lots of presents! All the children scrambled to open them. Charlie was so happy!

Throughout his life, he saw Anna every single Christmas, and was extremely happy for as long as he lived!

THE END!
