"You think you've got all this figured out, don't you?" she smirked and the gleam in her eyes told me that she wasn't afraid to let go as she loosened the grip on my shirt collar. I smiled mischievously. "Excuse me, ma'am, don't know if you noticed, but uh, you're the master in this situation." I peered over my shoulder and saw the cars whizzing by 30 floors down, and gulped. "Nervous?" she taunted and reeled me in farther from the edge. "Maybe we could strike a deal." Let's start from the beginning, shall we? -- My names is Bond, James Bond. I'm just kidding. I'm Maxwell Matthews, secret agent. Totally legitimate. Ever since I was a young boy growing up outside of New York, I was trained in several combat techniques, like tai kwon do, kickboxing, karate, and I was enrolled in gymnastics. Laugh all you want, don't complain when I give you mid air triple kick. It helps. I'm part of an agency called Agents of Secret Stuff, or ASS for short. I recently turned 21 so I'm going to get full ASS membership soon, and become a hardcore, fully trained, badass ASS. Oh wait. I understand the acronym jokes now. So, let's begin at the point where I was assigned my mission. -- "Maxwell," I spun around in my swivel office chair towards the voice. God, I love those. They can entertain a man for hours. I saw my mentor/adoptive father Carlos standing in a suit- as always- with a successful gleam in his eye. "Congratulations on the big two one, Maxwell." he nodded in recognition. I grinned. "Thank you, sir." "But to earn your full Agents of Secret Stuff membership, there is one more mission you must complete." I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "I already did all the hard stuff! Come on. I mean, really." He shook his head. "Your mission is so important that if you don't do it, ASS may cease to exist. Your mission is in this case file." he slid a folder labeled with my profile to me across my desk and walked out. I leaned back on my chair, putting my feet on my desk, and flipped it open.
