I glanced at Alyssa, she gave me wide eyes and I returned it with a look that said, she's totally faking this, just no, don't believe her.
She stood there, the wings spanning, like, five feet each. Breathtaking and it seemed painstakingly real, but it couldn't be.
"Wha..?" Ian murmured.
"Ian," she giggled. "Guys, it's me. I'm back to help you." she looked each of us in the eye and stopped at Rich. "Don't you get it."
Rich smiled, kind of childishly. "She's an angeeellll," he said, hushed.
I literally did a facepalm.
"No," Lei stopped me. "He's right. Come on, I'll prove it." we followed her outside, where we stood on my back porch.
"Um, so now what?" I asked.
She looked at me and grinned. "Funny you should ask that." she grabbed me around my stomach and lifted me up. My stomach reeled, and I closed my eyes. A few silent seconds passed. "Can I open my eyes?"
"Hehe.... Sure," she responded.
I opened my eyes to see the rest of the gang. But they looked like ants. I realized that we were up in the sky, way higher than Ian's house. "CRAP!" I yelled, frightened.
She laughed. "Don't worry, I won't drop you. Angels have great strength too."
She leaned forwards so that I was positioned with my stomach towards the ground and I heard her wings flap as we plunged forward. I grabbed onto her hands on my stomach and she looked down, grinning.
"You don't have to hold on. I've got you," she whispered comfortingly.
I let go hesitantly, but grew more confident and put my arms out as if they were wings, laughing.
She slowed when we got about 5 feet off the ground, carefully setting me down. She smiled sweetly. "Anyone else care to try?"
Ian raised his hand, grinning. "Totally."
