Claires POV
"woohoo!" I yelled out enthusiastically. "Cannot wait for the party tonight. My place okay?" Leia laughed. "Considering I dont want my dad coming home to a ton of teens, yeah. Its PERFECT." I chuckled. "Tots! Oh, you should get this top!" "Nah," she responded, shrugging. "Thats not really my color. Itd look faboo on you though!" "haha thanks! Ill have to wear it at the party!" We proceeded to the checkout, both of us had picked out a decent selection of clothes, jewelry, and makeup. "You two girls have a nice day!" the cashier yelled. "ha! Thanks, you too!" I called back. "Oh wow, look who it is!" Alyssa was on the other side of the court, talking to Catherine and Frankie. Her real name's Francesa, but she couldnt pronounce that when she was little. The nickname just stuck. "Hey!" Alyssa yelped, waving. She was wearing, of course, a fedora, like always. "This Leia?" I nodded and Leia smiled. "Hey! You're Alyssa?" Alyssa nodded, grinning. "This is Catherine and Frankie." they both shook Leias hand. "We were just finishing up." "Us too, " Leia said. "We should all go to Claires and hang out before the party!" "Yeah man," Frankie yelled. "Sounds fricking awesome." Catherine shrugged. "Meh. I cant, stupid parents arent letting me. But Ill meet yuh there!" she said, walking away and out to the parking lot. Leia laughed. "umm alrighty then!" "Okay, ill ride with Frankie. We took my car. We'll just follow you guys out to Claires." Alyssa continued, waving bye. Frankie clutched her handbag to her chest and walked away behind her.
Leias POV "Do they know about me being on the news?!" I yelped quietly, nervous. "Maybe," Claire said thoughtfully. "Even uf they did, Alyssa seemed very cool about it. Dont worry, this is a fantastic way to meet more friends!" "Fine," I scoffed. "Why not?"
When we got back, We only had time to get ready before the first guests arrived. "Here, Leia!" Frankie said. "This will TOTS complete your outfit. And of course, I gave you a faboo makeup job." It was true, Frankie was a bit a fashionista."Oh wow," i muttered. "I dont think Ive ever looked prettier." "Not true!" Claire argued. The door bell rang. Claire and I answered while Frankie and Alyssa finished setting up downstairs. "Hey!" Claire chirped. "Its Adam, Ian, Stephie, Nathan, and Jarett." "Hey Adam," Alyssa cooed. "Hey Ian." Claire leaned in close and whispered in my ear, so I could only hear. "She has a bit of a crush on those two." I nodded. "I see." Personally, I kind of thought Nathan was cute. But I shrugged it off due to my vow to stay off of realtionships and the fact hes from the Valley. Plus, there was this odd sense i was getting from him.. He seemed familiar. Jarett approached me, and shook my hand. "Hello, Leia... Im Jarett." I giggled, "What a sweetheart." Eh, even if I wasnt going to be in a relationship, why not toy with some of the boys? All girls do it. And of course, Rich pounced through the door at the wrong moment to see me flirting with Jarett. "Hey everyone!" he said rather nervously, glancing at me through the corner of his eye. I saw him shrug the feeling off as he put a smile on his face. "Lets start this fiesta!"
