Ruby red painted lips Like the dress that hugs her hips

Getting out at the end of the day Letting her control go away

A face painted with makeup As thought she couldn't get enough

And although she wouldn't ever believe It was masking pure beauty

And of course she met man One who just smirked and took her hand

It wasn't at all love that's true She never got to say "I do"

Because two years later (and I don't mean to be a hater)

But the makeup won't help at all And no silky voice, just a dry call

Skin gone gray from the smoke After she thought her life was a joke

Mother of three at age twenty four Her youth had just gone through the door

Because of those one night stands She never settled down nor found a man

But one thing led to another And now she's a mother

Ruby red lips, now all she has Because not anymore is she a young lass.
