The beginning of each line encourages you to read in the way that Winston Churchill might have delivered a speech, his original quote, a toast to the WI went something like... To all the other women in our lives... (shock/horror/murmurs and sharp intakes of breaths)... Our mothers!

Hm. There are many days in a man's life, Uh being born, reaching puberty, learning, Mm christenings, marriages and funerals. A driving tests, falling in and out of love, N the birth of a child, watching them grow, Er develop and survive the aforementioned.
Hm. Then there are illnesses, addictions, Uh seeing those you love pass away. Mm losing close pets, friends coming and going, A financial difficulties and law breaking. N making mistakes, lying, falling short, Er being wronged, tricked and deceived.
Hm. Many days are most significant; Uh when Love fills your heart. M giving your daughter's hand. A the sequel of grandchildren. N and finally, your own demise, Er preferably before the bill arrives.
Hm. Raise your glasses please; Uh to all the other women in our lives. M our mothers, daughters and granddaughters. A but without question, ladies and gentlemen, N most of all our brides...
