As the dawn awaits, Laughter, screams, singing, Arguments and splashes abate, Distant glasses ringing.

No cars or busses juggle, Ambulances silently blue blink, A new couple kiss and chuckle, Together on the quayside think.

Hey! He said, No! She said, Too late, he jumps, lands luckily, Thumps me squarely out of bed, So I must settle with diplomacy.

Lights flick on as warning, This captain is displeased, Racing toward the deck yawning, Undressed and ill at ease.

I shine my torch for best effect, On the quay she jeers at me, He yelps his gut upon my deck, And cries a defiant apology.

Get off I shout, she screams again, He clambers my swinging ladder, They both run off to love's domain, While I stand firm and shudder.

This episode is now ended, Another long night is done, Scrubbing puke deck intended, First, some clothes to put on.
