"What is all this about?" I said in a low menacing voice. I was so angry and bewildered.
"Isn't it obvious that you're at a lab,dearie?" he snickered,moving his pencil fast across a notepad.
"Trying to be funny eh?" I retorted. My breath was low and steady. He ignored my remark and walked over to a large cylindrical device,the size and width of a coffin. It was attached to a bottom with wheels and he brought it near my feet.
He pressed a couple of buttons,turned on a couple of switches and pulled on a large lever at the side of the object. As he did so, the device came to life. It glowed an omniscient blue. He popped open the top of the cylinder. It was filled with a thick purple-hued smog.
"What the hell is this?!" I screamed incredulously.
"First off,talk with more respect. Second off,it's an Energy Cortex set at a normal temperature and a bare minimal energy level. Third off," he bent and whispered in a macabre tone in my ear,his breath tingling against my skin, "I can kill you with it,if that tone is further repeated."
I didn't argue any further and clenched my fists and jaws. He put two small metallic devices in my ears and a mask onto my nose and mouth.
"Im doing all this as the Vivacity Fog should,in no means, enter the body. Although, direct contact with the skin is absolutely safe." he explained.
He put on an oxygen mask and lab goggles and jabbed a large syringe into my arm. I winced, my body went limp and my eyes slowly shut just before my head was inside the Cortex. The icy Fog engulfed my body.
