Echo Lillum Daughter of Lilith the mother of all Demons and Samaul the Fallen Angel
I am the daughter of Lilith, the Queen of the night and mother of all Demons, she was the first wife of Adam, It was said that while Adam was made with the dust from the earth, Lilith was made from the filth and sediment that God deemed unworthy of his creation, there for dooming her to her fate. She was a dutiful wife, taking care of her husband, doing as he bid her to night in and night out, until she couldn’t take it any longer, she let out a scream of anguish and renounced the name of god.
Giant wings sprouted from her back and she fled the garden, looking for sanctuary from the man who smothered her and the God to whom her pleas to fell on deaf ears. Leaving the earth she fled to the underworld, the only place where she could not be haunted by the men of her past. She became the mother to all the Demons.
This is where I come in, I am Echo the eldest daughter of Lilith, I have stood by her side through many centuries. Together we have watched civilizations grow and crumble like a leaf blowing in the wind. I have had hundreds of thousands of siblings through the ages, but none have stayed for long. I along with my mother we are two of the Old One’s left in this world. There are not many old one’s walking the earth, most of them have either perished, or gone into hibernation until an age arises to which they wish to enjoy.
I have forged many battles, seen the rise of armies bigger than the gates of hell, none of which have been able to defeat my mother or I. There was a time when we thought it good to send another above ground to see how the human race was going, my younger sister Mab was sent to watch over a King named Arthur. I knew it would be a difficult job but I had assumed she was capable of doing as our mother bid. Unfortunately this was not so, she failed. She ignored our mother’s order’s defying her and the rest of the underworld as she tried to seize control of the human world.
This did not sit well with my mother or I, she sent me out to remove the problem as they say, and I did. I used the human’s fear for the unknown and my sister’s lust for power to destroy her. Giving me no choice but to do the job she was sent to do, as the saying goes “If you want something done right, then do it yourself”. I did, I left my mother’s side for the first time. I left the safety of the underworld and went into the human world.
There was a male I met a long time ago, he’s strength and power the only one to have ever rivalled my own, he was the son of Lucifer himself. It was said that he rose through the ranks of the underworld by slaughtering those who stood in his way.
For centuries I have been doing as my mother bade me, destroying those she deemed to be threats and elevating those she favours. I was on top of the world; my latest assignment is what landed me in this place. I was sent by my mother to ‘remove’ the latest threat to her empire. It was a child, a boy of just 5 he was professed to be the next chosen one, the child who would bring down the fall of my mother’s empire. There was no question about it; my mother needn’t have asked me I would have gotten rid of the brat even without her orders.
