I am the Archangel Gabriel, I am almost as old as time itself, second only to my eldest brother Balthazar and our father, I am Archangel of annunciation, humanity, resurrection, heavenly mercy, vengeance, death, revelation, truth, and hope. I am known as the messenger of god, delivering such news unto the humans my father told me to inform.
Balthazar was always a favoured brother, as was Luthor until he fell from the heavens. I was not jealous nor was I envious of any of my brothers, I loved them all and still do, and it is an honour to have brothers such as them.
Together Balthazar and I spent centuries watching over the world together, until one day my brother Balthazar was given an assignment which took him far from the heavens, I still watched over my elder brother, even as the hope our father had for the humans seemed to dwindle until my father let them sacrifice my brother, an event which shaped the world more than any other had before or has since.
A long time passed as I watched the world from above, I watched as the centuries passed and the world changed, in the year 1781, I met a female by the name of Elaine. I knew as soon as I saw her that she would change my life, she was a vampire and above all else forbidden from me. We instantly recognized each other as the light to our souls (soul mates), barely a full year later Elaine and I had a daughter (Ava) together. The fear of what the Vampire court and Celestial Angels would do to not only us but our daughter made us leave her at the steps of a London Church before we both left and returned to our separate lives.
One of my brothers found out about Elaine and I and our daughter, to this day I do not know which brother of mine it was, but he went to the immortal courts and before I could do anything Elaine had been sentenced to death. There were always rumours of her being alive, rumours that I could never substantiate no matter how much I searched. I returned to the heavens and became the dutiful son and brother that I had always been, watching the world and doing as my father bid of me, I always kept an eye over my daughter Ava, watching her grow into a strong and confident woman and marrying my brother Balthazar. Together they had a child, a child that was taken from them both all too soon, I pleaded for my father to have mercy and let me help them, but he would not. Everything happens for a reason he would tell me, and I would trust him to be right.
Many years later when my brother Balthazar was put in charge of watching over an Isle full of immortals that needed to right the wrongs in their life, I knew there was no better person for the job than my brother and son-in-law. I stayed in the Heavens most of the time while he watched over the immortals, only coming down to the isle when he had need of me, or when I had information to share. But now as our family grows and the amount of immortals on the isle grow, I spend more and more of my time here on the isle assisting Balthazar and the other immortals as much as need be, until my father bids me back home to the Heavens.
