Sorry if its a bit long!! Just felt right to end it all now, on the 7th part! Hope you have enjoyed this series and please feel free to leave feedback :) many thanks!

David tried to climb out of the cellar, but the walls were wet and slippery now. He began to panic, and then glanced towards the other room. He saw the shadows of the phantom ghouls sweep into the old man. And then another piercing scream. That made David even more frightened. He threw himself up, but slipped back down the wall into the quickly flooding cellar. It was then that David made his decision. A decision not to panic, but to wait... To wait for the cellar to be engulfed in water.

But that meant David had to wait. And if the old guy came out of the other room, then David was more or less done for! Suddenly a bolt of lighting lit the skies. And it made David smile. When he wanted bad weather, nature never disappointed. Suddenly David was flung onto the wall on the opposite side of the cellar! He felt his ribs begin to crack against the weight! The air was becoming heavy. His eyelids felt as though they had massive weights holding them down. David felt as though all he wanted to do was go to sleep. But he knew, if he went to sleep, it would not be like his usual sleeps. It would be a lot deeper, and one he'd be lucky to wake up from.

As the pressure eased, the old man was seen at last from David's view. But he wasn't old no more. It was as though the phantoms had regenerated him-made him stronger, younger and faster. It was then that all pressure eased, and David collapsed into the water. As the water engulfed the Cellar. The man flew up into the kitchen and waited. He waited for David.

As David went up for air, he rubbed the water out of his eyes, and found part of the old kitchen work top flying towards him. He dived back under and then felt the Worktop splash on impact with the water. As he got back up for air, he felt his rib, which was bruised and painful. No way he could beat the man now. And so he thought, and decided, that if he couldn't make it out alive, then he'd at least go out with a fight! He got out of the water and grabbed the man and dived back into the water. A fierce underwater fight began, and David saw it, his flashlight, at the darkest corner of the now sunken cellar. He dived down, and grabbed it. But he didn't realise the man also dived to get it, and the man grabbed David. As David struggled, he managed to get his foot free, before kicking the man in the rib. As the man recoiled in pain, David kicked him into the kitchen floor.

As the man recoiled in pain, David rushed out of the water. He rushed upstairs, but as he got to the stairs, they began to collapse. He jumped to the top of the stairs. The whole landing was collapsing now. He rushed towards a window as the whole house was collapsing. But just as he made the leap, something grabbed his foot. It was the man, he had flown after him! But as David struggled all he could do was watch, as his last hope of survival vanished among the ruins of the house.

There was nothing left. The house was completely destroyed and all that remained was the rubble. The rubble of the house that time forgot! But one more thing that was found, was a flashlight. It had lost its batteries, but still flickered. On, off, on, off, for the rest of time!
