I found a light

A tiny speck

And followed it

Through the trees

I made my way

And then I saw

A shiny stone

Burning brightly

Burning my eyes

But I knew what it was

For years many have searched

For the precious stone that lay within

But it seemed so peaceful

At one with everything around

At one with itself

Was I jealous?

I would say no

But in my heart

Yes, I was so

This valued item

It's beauty and gleam

But I couldn't give it up to the likes of me

I couldn't take it from this beautiful place

So I just walked away
