My mind was hazy. Where was I? I didn't remember anything but I could feel the sun burning down on me. Slowly I opened my eyes, just to be blinded at how bright the sun was. I was laying on grass, I knew that much. I was laying beside Lampton, that much I knew, but he wasn't awake. I sat up now, slowly though so I wouldn't go dizzy, and looked around. We was laying in a small field surrounded by trees. Remedy was grazing a little away from us and then I smiled for no reason other than the sheer beauty of watching Remedy. There was a little groan beside me and I smiled then kissed Lampton on the lips and he smiled, though his eyes stayed closed. "Is it safe to open my eyes, Freya?" He asked, whispering. I grinned. "Why wouldn't it be safe?" I asked. This got him thinking and then he opened his eyes, just to be blinded momentarily, but his smile grew when he saw me. Lampton got to his feet, dragging me with him, and then we started walking. I didn't know where we were going but as Remedy happily trotted around us I knew that we was all going to be very happy wherever it was. We found a small road not far from where we were and followed it east to a little town called Cherryweth. The town's women greeted us with warm smiles and the men greeted us with a tip of their hats. The town was very quaint but picturesque and gorgeous. "So, Lampton, what are we doing?" I asked. I couldn't remember things that I found myself wanting to remember, like my childhood and parents and where were they? Who were they? I remembered two things. One, when I woke up in the field, and two, Lampton promising me that we would run away together and build our own house. "I want our house to be in the clearing" He declared, taking my hands. We stood by a shop window staring into each others eyes. "The clearing?" I asked. "But, Lampton, the trees are in the way" He grinned down at me. "We'll find away, my love, and it's right near this town. Wouldn't it be perfect?" I had to admit, it was perfect, and it seemed like we had woken up there for a reason. I just couldn't put my finger on it. I nodded then Lampton left me with Remedy to speak to a shopkeeper. "Excuse me, Miss?" A little voice asked. I turned, smiling as I did, to find a girl not much younger than me standing before me. "Yes?" I asked. She smiled. "Is this your horse?" She asked. I nodded. "This is Remedy" "I've heard so many stories about the two of you" She beamed then bowed before running off. I stared after her. Well that was odd. And she wasn't the first person, no, in the space of fifteen minutes five people came up to me and spoke exactly the same words as the first before running off or scurrying off to somewhere unknown to me. By the time Lampton came out of the shop, I was officially freaked out. I told him what had just happened but he waved it away, dismissively. Which I found very strange, I was sure he never usually did that. I was hating not remembering, it hurt my head after a while so I had to stop but that didn't mean I was giving up. As we walked through town we were given many things by the townspeople. One old man gave us his cart for Remedy, another man gave Lampton his horse after declaring that it was the fastest in all the land. The baker's wife gave us cakes and freshly made bread, the butcher gave us a lot of meat and a cow from his farm and the butcher's wife gave us a little black and white dog to keep the house from harm. Most of the men in town agreed to help us build our home and they followed Lampton back to the clearing while I stayed at the Inn in town. While sitting in my room at the Inn I looked through the bag I had found on Remedy. Inside I found a book and curiosity got the best of me. I decided to read it. The book was a journal, I could tell it was a girl's just by looking at the first page. On the first page there was the drawing of a man. He looked exactly like Lampton...

"I met Lampton last night, the one mum and dad said I would marry one day, and he is charmingly handsome. I'm still angry, however, but I have decided to give him a go. See what he's like. He told me I was pretty today because I saw him again. We had someone watching us the whole time which I hated and I could tell he did too. I think that maybe next time I'm going to find a way for us to sneak away from the castle for a couple of hours just so we can talk. I would like that, I would like that very much."

It was odd reading something like that about the one I loved. I wondered who she was and where she was. The only thing was, I wasn't her, and I wondered why Lampton hadn't told me about her before.
